WONDERCHAOS
A chaotic process is when small changes in initial conditions result in dramatic, unpredictable consequences. Mathematically it is usually seen as when two situations, which started at almost the same conditions, diverge significantly with time.
WONDERCHAOS is a collaboration between artists Kate Daudy and Kostya Novoselov. It is an exploration of the many facets of chaos, intertwined with harmony and balance. The theme is universal and we are invited to reflect upon our individual experiences of chaos, as well as our shared experiences of disorder. Drawing on their individual specialisms, Daudy and Novoselov, who is also a world-renowned physicist, have developed a new body of essays and artwork. The book invites us to observe the inherent harmony that underlies what might appear to be chaos, and reflect upon the fact that as individuals we have more power than we might realise; the future is in our own hands.
With essays by Rebecca Daniels, Kate Daudy, Mikhail Katsnelson, Omar Kholeif, Artem Mishchenko, Kostya Novoselov and Manon Y. Schutz, WONDERCHAOS unpicks various perspectives of contemporary thought, including nature, science, history, art philosophy, war, music and poetry.
