What exactly is anger? Unlike sadness, fear, or desire, anger is —at least in our society— a banned emotion. When did it become forbidden and why? Can rage have positive connotations? How can we deal with it in an era of constant surveillance? These are some of the questions that guide this fiction writing project.

Guadalupe Nettel is a Mexican writer, author of award-winning novels and collections of short stories translated into more than twenty languages. In 2008 she received a PhD in Literature from the EHESS in Paris. Her work has been adapted into theater and film.

The Rendez-Vous de l’Institut Series is generously supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. You will find a full calendar of the Fellows’ Talks.
