Focusing on stories of resistance, the third annual Journalism and Crisis at Reid Hall features live performances from journalists and artists sharing personal stories drawn from their lives and work.

Journalism and Crisis fosters conversations around some of the most urgent questions facing journalism today, particularly in an international context. Building on the series’ 2024 launch in New York City, the 2025 and 2026 editions in Paris are co-organized with Live Magazine.

Live Magazine transforms journalism into a live, immersive experience. Its format is simple and bold: a series of first-person narratives delivered without recording or replay. No taping, no rewinding—only the immediacy of the spoken word. A living, ephemeral newspaper, it can only be experienced in person, and the only trace left behind is the memory of the stories shared that night.

Organized by the Columbia Global Paris Center and Live Magazine. With support from the Institute for Ideas and Imagination.

This event will take place in Reid Hall’s Grande Salle Ginsberg-LeClerc, built in 1912 and extensively renovated in 2023 thanks to the generous support of Judith Ginsberg and Paul LeClerc.
