Experience Edgar’s Broughton’s powerful solo acoustic performance, a captivating tour de force that seamlessly blends new songs with timeless classics. His music, a mix of raw emotion and surprising diversity, continues to resonate with fans both old and new. Once hailed as a proto-punk, Edgar’s lifelong commitment to political activism shines through in many of his songs.

Edgar Broughton, the iconic singer, songwriter, and guitarist, co-founded the Edgar Broughton Band, the trailblazing agit-rockers of the late ’60s and early ’70s. Pioneers of the free concert movement, the band became a powerful voice for protest, with Edgar standing out as one of the era’s most forceful and compelling protest singers. Yet, his music was always surprisingly diverse, blending raw power with accessibility across his vast repertoire of original songs.

Edgar Broughton’s new album, BREAK THE DARK, in some ways marks the place we have all arrived at.
