Best Young Writers – Malaysia and Singapore

Southeast Asia is an ancient crossroads of cultures and languages which has undergone rapid social, political and economic change over the last six decades. This event showcases four of Malaysia and Singapore’s most exciting young writers, whose work delves into the modern complexities of colonialism, race, gender and sexuality within their countries and beyond. Featuring YZ Chin, Amanda Lee Koe, Preeta Samarasan and Sharlene Teo.
