Anuk Arudpragasam
In conversation with writer Shivani Radhakrishnan, Anuk Arudpragasam discusses his forthcoming novel A Passage North (Hogarth/Granta; July 2021). Set in the decade following the end of military conflict in Sri Lanka and moving in the space between memory and daydream, the novel follows its protagonist as he travels north from Colombo to the devastated former warzone for the funeral of a woman he suspects has committed suicide.
Shivani Radhakrishnan is a writer whose work has appeared in n+1, the Washington Post, the Georgia Review, the Believer and others. She is currently a PhD candidate in social philosophy at Columbia and in training to become a psychoanalyst at the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies.
