In this Library Chat, Professor and Team leader at ESPCI Paris Gisella Vetere joins Bianca Jones Marlin— neuroscientist and Herbert and Florence Irving Assistant Professor of Cell Research at the Zuckerman Institute at Columbia University in New York City—to discuss neuroscience. Marlin research during her Faculty Visitorship at Reid Hall investigates how organisms unlock innate behaviors at appropriate times, and how learned information is passed to subsequent generations via transgenerational epigenetic inheritance.

Gisella Vetere

Gisella Vetere, Professor at ESPCI Paris, is heading a new team of the Brain Plasticity Unit, C4 (Cerebral Codes and Circuits Connectivity) from August 2018. Her group will study the neural mechanisms governing memory acquisition and consolidation in mice and how these processes change the neural plasticity.
