White Series

Maxim Dondyuk is featured in the latest issue of Ciel variable with an in-depth article by Érika Nimis on his series White Series (2017–2024). The work documents war-scarred landscapes in eastern Ukraine, capturing abandoned vehicles, shattered buildings, and frozen fields in stark winter light. Rather than depicting combat, the series reflects on the traces war leaves behind, inscribing violence into the land itself and inviting a meditation on memory, absence, and the long aftermath of conflict.
