Thinking Historically in the Present

Khalili is one of thirty artists commissioned to create works that “explore histories that continue to shape our present.” Curated by Hoor Al Qasimi, the Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, the exhibition was conceived by the late Nigerian curator Okwui Enwezor, who died in 2019.
