Fabiola Ferrero‘s photographs are featured in the article “Short on Time and Tools, a Community Comes Together to Search for Survivors,” written by Julie Turkewitz and published in The New York Times on June 28.

The piece documents the community-led rescue efforts in San Bernardino, a middle-class neighborhood in Caracas, where hundreds of volunteers armed with basic tools worked alongside firefighters to search for survivors in the rubble of the Residencia Rita apartment building, days after the devastating twin earthquakes struck Venezuela.
