Emeka Ogboh’s participation in the FIAC mentioned in the Financial Times
"Ogboh’s multi-part project centres on the launch of a craft beer, “Sufferhead Original” (2019), commissioned by FIAC. The beer is “inspired by the food tastes and experiences of Africans living in Europe”, says a representative of Galerie Imane Farès, which has a booth of Ogboh’s work at the fair."
Emeka developed this project while a Fellow at the Institute in 2018-19.
As part of the Parades for FIAC programming, 2018-2019 Fellow Emeka Ogboh, artist, DJ, and brewer, will reveal the Paris edition of his beer Sufferhead in an evening combining artisanal beer, traditional cuisine, music, and photography.
This event will take place on October 15th at 6 p.m. at the Petit Palais, 75008 Paris.
Parades for FIAC is a festival of performances taking place outside of the walls of the FIAC main site, the Grand Palais. This series of events is dedicated to performative practices and dialogue between various disciplines in contemporary art, including music, dance, performance art, theater, and poetry.
