Denise Murrell named Associate Curator at the Metropolitan Museum
In December, former Visiting Scholar Denise Murrell will become Associate Curator for 19th and 20th Century Art at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
Denise Murrell curated the exhibition Posing Modernity: The Black Model From Manet to Matisse to Today at Columbia University’s Wallach Gallery in 2018 and was co-curator of Le modèle noir de Géricault à Matisse at the Musée d’Orsay this past spring, while a Visiting Scholar at the Institute.
