Katharina Pistor

Katharina Pistor was awarded the Bielefeld Science Award for 2026. The prize is awarded every two years by the Foundation of the Sparkasse Bielefeld in memory of the Bielefeld sociologist Niklas Luhmann.

Professor Angelika Epple, Rector of Bielefeld University and Chair of the jury for the Bielefeld Science Award, stated: “Katharina Pistor is an exceptionally incisive legal scholar who critically examines the capitalist economic order.”
