On Thursday, October 26 at 7:30pm, Maboula Soumahoro will be in conversation with publisher Rosanna Puyol Boralevi surrounding À perte de mère, sur les routes atlantiques de l’esclavage, Soumahoro’s translation of Saidiya Hartman’s Lose Your Mother. Through this powerful travelogue, Hartman explores the history of the Atlantic slave trade through the retelling of her recent journey along the slave trade route in Ghana. Soumahoro will present Hartman’s book as well as her own translation and preface during the event.
