Film Screening: Queen of Victoria

SNFPHI | Hybrid Event Online and in Person in New York City
Faculty House and Online

Fotis Korosiadis will present Queen of Victoria, his documentary-in-progress that centers on Marilena and her everyday life in the Victoria neighborhood of Athens. Korosiadis follows Marilena as she walks around with her service dog, Zina, feeds stray animals, takes care of her twenty-seven cats, chats with neighbors, and visits a bar frequented by older gay Athenians. In trying to capture Marilena’s experience of Victoria, the camera documents a life lived in the margins and one that gives testimony to the continual transformation of the neighborhood and the city over the past few decades.
