In and Out of the Loop:
Tune in on Tuesday November 24th for an online discussion from the MENA Film Festival with Lamia Joreige. about Lebanese art, film, and perseverance.

Time and time again Beirut faces loss, tragedy and upheavals. People contend with the intensity of tragic events while artists find ways to resist, remember and reclaim. Renowned Lebanese artists and filmmakers Lamia Joreige, Joana Hadjithomas, Walid Sadek, Ghassan Salhab and Canadian artist of Lebanese descent, Jayce Salloum will speak about the Lebanese War, loss and tragedy.
In this panel discussion, these artists unpack how they represent war, its aftermaths, and the ongoing Lebanese condition. They share with us how they relate to Beirut and its ever-changing landscape while reflecting on their roles as artists in representing this problematic local history to the world.
