Ana Paulina Lee is leading a collaborative conference between Columbia Yale on the cultural legacy of Iberian expansion in the Americas, Africa, and South Asia. The conference will explore how the Portuguese presence in South Asia reshaped the structure and communities of the region, with a specific focus on histories of music and performance. Scholars, musicians, journalists, and other cultural producers will participate in a series of panel discussions and concerts.
