Artemis: Ouverture

Pauchi Sasaki in Italy

Pauchi Sasaki's multi-platform opera, ARTEMIS, opens with a projection of OUVERTURE. The premiere of the opera is taking place in Italy, from October 28-31st in Modena and from the 29th-31st in Bologna.

Overture is a reflection on femininity in a digital context, placing technology as a mechanism of liberation, where machines and software neutralize and free the body from socially and culturally imposed restrictions and inequalities. In this work divergent worlds converge: from traditional to contemporary chamber music, improvisation, experimentation, noise, algorithmic music and live processing.
